Waiting for summer.. ...already XD

I miss Crete, and summer. <3

Hello fellows, I'm sorry for updating and blablabla. I decided to post Something since it's been ages since I last updated... many hasn't changes, I'm still the same old absolutist as usual, I still study japanese (which seemed to be uncertain some weeks ago but gladly it continues <3 we luv you, Takako. . OH! one giant thing actually DID happen! I passed swedish matriculation exam!! that means I shall graduate this spring if everything goes well with maths courses! I'm so happy... ;;___;; now I can finally focus and deepen into japanese, which I truly love since I don't need to study swedish anymore! \o/

Today's the eve of another new year! 2010! ...though personally I'm not so glad about the number, it's hard to write. ò___ó
Aaaannyyywaaaayyys~~ I wish everyone a happy and succesful year of the Tiger 2010! let's hope it's better than the previous one, as every year ;)

Ocean, mountains, oranges - Part 1

I am terribly sorry this comes this late.. but I've been busy XD ..sort of. I started Japanese class by Takako Karppinen, it's really fun and i'm eager to learn the language :3 Anyways, I had to make this in 2 parts, because it's really late now and I'm tired XD plus this is going to be really long. And it's easier for you to read (if anyone's even going to take a look at this...XD). So, back to the Mediterranean, the biggest island of Greece! Ladies and gentlemen, Crete! part 1!


2nd of July, Airport of Oulunsalo
Well. this is still Finland, but this was also my first time flying. I was dead excited at home, but as soonest as we got to the airport, I got calm. Guess what? I FREAKING LOVE FLYING NOW! I can't wait to get into plane next time..!!! gaaaa!!!! D: the best 4 hours of my life so far. ..well maybe not THE best but ONE of the best moments XD

So after spending 4 hours above clouds, we arrived to Chania's airport in Crete. The sun was shining from cloudless sky and if I remember right, it was +35 degrees then (later that day, it was +41!). The airport was military area so photographing was strictly forbidden.


...but the sign didn't say I'm not allowed to take pictures of palms! ♥

45 minutes, several hotels and 9 kilometers later we arrived to our little village called Agia Marina. Agia Marina was really sweet, but filled with tourism. We hardly saw any locals that actually lived in the village, except in their little boutiques. But otherwise it was adorable and very cozy. I'd love to go back!

I think me, my sister Paula and my mother probably share the same answer, what was the best in the hotel? The location! Everything was near!! Grocery store(s), restaurants, THE BEACH!! where we spent a lot of time XDD Whenever we had spare time, was it 15 minutes or 3 hours, we spent it at the beach. ..I miss it D:

Crete is popular among finnish tourists, and you could see it there. An advertisement in Agia Marina (it's finnish and says "very delicious food")


Of course, we didn't spend the whole week in our village. Instead, we decided to take a look at "the downtown", Chania. We took a local bus (filled with other tourists, of course.) and rode there. The town was really different from the image I created by viewing photos online and the travel agency's website: it was full of tiiiny tourist boutiques and restaurants, including men who tried to pull people in. Some guys even spoke finnish to us, trying to lure is in. Didn't work on us, me and my sister just bursted to giggle every time they did XD






YARR!! this pirate scared the crap out of me when he suddenly appeared behind my back XD "Can I take a picture??" "Yarr! of course, yarr!!"






Chania was huge, and we're bit sorry we missed the markethall we planned to see when we go there. But we couldn't find it :< but we made lots of good memories there, so we don't mind! We left Chania and spent the rest of the day at the beach. WHAT A SURPRISE!!!

Summer's coming. I didn't believe it until taking some photos a couple of days ago.


So, how's my vacation been? It's been alright, sleeping long till afternoon (kidding, I've been up around 9-11 am), helping mom around by cleaning up the house and other tiny things, being outside and of course taking some photos as well.

Last weekend was the mothers' day, we did celebrate it with some other people too, like my sister Anne and her kids, and Paula and Visa. It was hilarious, I can't even remember all the topics we laughed at XD


Caaaake <3 Mom baked it and I helped with decorating, this is what I've been waiting the whole winter! STRAWBERRIES!! these were dutch ones though, they tasted great with some sugar! Or the cake? No. Strawberries. Yes.

Hello hello! once again, my deepest apologies for not updating so often. Once in a month, wasn't it??

School's almost over for this semester, my summer vacation starts next week. ...what summervacation? today I slipped and hurt my elbow and knee because of icy roads! :D

uuuugh spring depression's pushing in...... so sorry for this one month late journal entry.. :<

School keeps pushing and pushing with work, this week I must finish my artdiploma work and I have NO motivation to do it, sigh.. this week, I matriculation exams are on... I don't know why they all have to book up on the same week. :<

And somehow I've been starting to feel different lately.. like, am I really that different from other people. I enjoy staying at home instead of going out on Friday night to get drunk or even go to bar to meet friends. I feel anxious if I even hear the word bar or boose in any forms of it. Also that I miss some particular friends with who I loved to spend time with, but these days all they love to do is fill their throats with boose. I notice it at school too, I'm outcasted, because I don't drink or smoke. People who do often ignore me, I don't feel like I have anyone there.. I'm glad it'll be over next month, my summer vacation starts then, whole freaking building left behind until next August when I shall return, while others are gone.. *sigh*

Another odd thing going on me is the fact I'm suddenly having big dreams. BIG dreams. Like living abroad for a while, like 3 months or so, just to see how it is somewhere else. As many can guess, the first country in my mind is Japan. The land of most elegant and mysterious traditions mingled with latest, shining technology and interesting people. I even had this little but wild dream I'm not going to share with you, because I'm 100% sure it'll never happen. :> I'm a bastard, ihihi. But I'm glad we go to Crete on July, I wonder if I'll turn out to be like my sister then: travelmaniac. XD

this was really, REALLY pointless journal entry, no photos or anything. I'll post some pictures of Penkkarit event at school for abiturients when I get some from my teacher, that should be soon. Then I'll introduce you to one of the loveliest things that I own: my first Kimono. <3 yes, I have my own Kimono! had for months now! I never dared to say it in public because I didn't want others to see as what I'm going to penkkarit, I wanted it to be a surprise. ^^ I'll show it next time, I promise!

Alright one photo, and I'm sure most of my friends will kick my head. I bought these:



Crocks. They're somethign so hidious that I promised myself never to wear those. But I bought them, for 3 euros so yeah, they're fake, real ones cost about 40 to 50 euros, and look almost exactly the same. I know people who know my opinion on these will think I lok like a dumbass and so will many others, but they're handy when we go to Crete, cause I get blisters easy. And nobody knows me there. And and I can wear them in water too! no more sand in my shoes!! NO!! I'm not making excuses, stfu. ;;___;;;

So Christmas went, year 2009 came, and finally I can sit down for a while. for a while indeed, school started today again and immediately they pushed us for more work and nagged for taking it too easy during holidays. Are we slaves or something? For example: my history teacher nagged us because we looked too tired. well duh, how he can claim such a thing, who would look all happy and cheery because school started again? not me. Though I'm happy school started, I'm not such a vacation person (don't ask!) :D




Dear lord it was snowy in Kajaani. So much snow that we could've donated some for those who don't have it in south! We went for a walk with Anne, through forests and some fields, I'm not sporty at all but I really like to go on walk with her, especially if it's the same tour we've been doing now :3 I found only one bad thing about it. I was in fever when we left to Kajaani, gladly I got better when we arrived there. When I got home, surprise surprise! I caught a cold! XD I've been having running nose and sneeze attacks for some weeks now. :P

I realized something today. I miss my sisters. Anne is in Kajaani as usual and I don't see her so often, I miss my other sister Paula (who's in Thailand with her boyfriend Visa now, Lukcy bastard!) because she's so far away now AND she'll move back to Kajaani after she comes home. I'll be all alone here again. :< I also miss Muru, Dana and Liisa . I haven't seen Muru since.. ...since some time! :< She wasn't in Kajaani while our visit on the Independence day, neither on Christmas. AND I miss Shuichi so damn much!! Shuichi you baka sakana! XD He lives in Japan, so no wonder we don't meet so often.

Alright, I think I'll start working on my drawing again, next time I try to upload the pics I took from our poor orchid who decided to bloom again. Lucky fellow :3
